The Northwoods Breastfeeding Coalition is celebrating its 10th Anniversary on October 25, 2016 by hosting the Education Conference: “Secrets of Baby Behavior”, presented by staff of the University of California Davis – Human Lactation Center, in Rhinelander.
The presentation is of interest to all those wanting to use “Baby Behavior” to support informed early infant feeding decisions.
Conference Learning Objectives:
- Describe how misinterpretation of infant behavior may lead to early breast-feeding cessation
- Differentiate the six infant states of arousal and awareness
- Demonstrate ability to distinguish between different types of infant cues
- Describe normal infant sleep patterns in the first 6 months of life
- List 2 experiences described by mothers that erroneously let them to believe that they could not breastfeed
- List at least 3 “Baby Behavior” messages that may be shared effectively and inoffensively with parents of breastfed infants
