The WALC Board loves grant time! We get to see what others are up to in the world of breastfeeding and we get to support it! Below are some of the projects in Wisconsin that WALC supports through our grant program.
Mother’s Milk Bank of the Western Great Lakes – Support an increase in charity care for Wisconsin families who depend on donor milk to protect their infant’s health.
IABLE (Institute for the Advancement of Breastfeeding and Lactation Education) – Support the development of a digital platform to provide low cost CERPS.
TLC – The Lactation Clinic – Support the development of a non-profit breastfeeding clinic in Southeast Wisconsin.
Winnebago County Health Department – Replacement freezer for the Milk Depot.
African American Breastfeeding Network – Support the B.I.G. (Breastfeeding is Great) Sisters program to help normalize breastfeeding and increase rates. Program attendees will serve as advocates and champions.
